By the way, I wanted to offer a short tutorial on how to navigate this blog, for those who are new. There are many ways to look at this site. One is you can just view the main page. The most recent post is first, and then you can go back and back until the beginning. Since I have just started, it is really easy to see everything that I have put on.
Later on, when I have gazillions of recipes, and you want to look for say, entrees, Scroll down until you come to the "search" part on the right. Every post that is created has a "tag" and the tag includes 1) who made it 2) whether it is an entree, dessert, appetizer, etc.
Click on "entree" to see the list of entrees that I have available.
Or, say you want to look up Grammy Dee food! Click on Grammy Dee's name.
If you want to send in a recipe, email it to me at carah.gilbert@gmail.com. I will put up posts as soon as I can!
Thanks everybody! Love you!

Who has the BEST meatballs?!
I haven't heard from anybody. Hopefully this will help with some motivation:
Last week a cousin of mine, Davia, emailed and said she was going to find her grandmother's Swedish meatball recipe.
I know we can find at least one more meatball recipe in this family. My mom makes "sweet and sour" meatballs.
If you have a meatball -- or ANY -- recipe, send it to me, and please tell me the story behind it too!

Aunt Margie's Vinegrette Cole Slaw
We have this cole slaw every Mother's Day when we have our grilled hamburgers and hot dogs! It's delicious!
----
Mix in a bowl:
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 cup chopped green pepper (optional)
1 tsp. instant minced onion
3 Tbsp. salad oil
1/3 cup white vinegar
Pour over 4 cups cole slaw (one bag of store bought cole slaw will do it!) and stir well. Chill for at least 3 hours before serving.
**Note**
I've only made this once, but found that it was much better chilled. When I tried it right after I made it, it was way too vinegary.
