My Grandmas' Meatballs!

Both Grandmas have served this dish. It's good for an appy or a main course!

Sweet & Sour Meatballs
2lbs ground beef
1 slightly beaten egg
1 lg onion grated *
salt to taste, little pepper
Mix together and start cooking:
1 12 oz bottle chilli sauce
1 10oz grape jelly
juice of 1 lemon
Shape meat into small balls drop into pan with sauce. Cook until brown.

*You can also use 1 package of dry onion soup mix. If you use that, do not add any more salt or pepper.

A tip: If you buy 3 lbs of meat you can freeze the extra meatballs and save them for later. My mom did this all the time, and then if she had a late night, my dad would warm them up for us. Easy!! No need to make anymore sauce for 3 lbs of beef.

Also mom says, "Don't buy the cheap stuff!" Higher quality ground beef makes them much better.
